TERMS AND CONDITIONS

• For all bookings , cancellations are free up to 48 hours prior to the tour date. For privat tours and groups when the minimum billable group size must be confirmed. Final numbers must be confirmed 48 hours before departure, no refound after this.

• The meeting time is 10 minutes before departure.

• Please be on time for departure, missed departures are not refundable.

• Make sure your travel insurance covers missed/canceled/delayed flights or boats, sickness, and other unforeseen circumstances that may lead to missing the tour. Any cancellation for group bookings 13 days or less before departure time is not refundable. Any cancellation for individual bookings 14 days or less before departure time is not refundable. Tours that can not be completed due to the guest not being present at the activity meeting place, are not refundable unless directly caused by Fjordexpedition. We strongly recommend having a travel insurance that will cover your expenses in these cases.

To cancel your booking, please contact FjordExpedition at post@fjordexpedition.com. All cancellations must be sent on e-mail. Please note that these cancellation terms apply only activities carried out by FjordExpedition.

Please be on the pick-up spot for check-in at least 10 minutes before departure time.

FjordExpedition and our partners reserve the right to cancel the activity at any point for safety reasons or if the activity cannot be completed due to natural causes such as lack of snow. In this event you will be offered a choice of alternative activities or to cancel and receive a full refund.

We or the supplier reserve the right to change activity locations without prior notice. In such an event the booking department will do everything possible to get in touch with you before the activity starts. A change of location would only take place for necessary safety reasons or due to conditions such as snow or weather on which the activity depends.

FjordExpedition are not liable for any injuries or lost or damaged items. FjordExpedition is the recipient for any complaints or grievances regarding the purchased activities or products. If the activity or product is supplied by a third party, any settlement of the complaint will be processed only in communication with the supplier.

Data Protection

By booking with us you are obliged to provide certain information to allow us to process your booking, no information will be requested without specific reason. FjordExpedition will not sell or otherwise market your data to third parties. Transfers of data to government institutions and authorities is done only within the scope of mandatory national legal requirements.

Our employees and partners are obligated by us to maintain secrecy and to comply with legal data protection regulations. You have the right at any time to receive information free of charge about your personal data stored with us.

If your data is stored incorrectly or wrongly by us, we will gladly correct, block or delete it. Please inform us of any changes to your data immediately. Please direct requests for information, questions, complaints or suggestions to post@fjordexpedition.com

FjordExpedition want the best for our customers. We will do our most to provide a friendly atmosphere whilst having a fun, relaxing and safe experience. These "Terms & Conditions" apply for any booking from us, wether it is a guided tour or rental.

Fjordexpedition observes strict health & safety procedures, however when dealing with nature there always exists an element of risk. Please be aware that kayaking carry a small degree of risk always. Safety instructions will be given before every tour, all our guests must agree to follow these instructions. Fjordexpedition, or our guides cannot be held responsible for personal injury, equipment loss or damage when this is caused as a consequence of not following instructions given to you! Any lawsuit against Fjordexpedition or any of our guides must be carried out in a Norwegian court, following the laws of Norway. All our guides are trained in First Aid.

On all tours they bring safety equipment, first aid equipment and mobile. We reserve the right to make changes to the schedule or to cancel any tour or arrangement due to health, safety and weather conditions. We reserve the right to make changes and adjustments to these terms and conditions without prior notification to any client. We will do our most to fullfill the terms that you agreed upon when booking.

Cancellation policy is not changeable! We recommend all guests to have their own personal travel/medical insurance. By paying for a tour we will assume that any client have read and agreed to our terms and conditions.

For all kayak rentals the following statement must be agreed to: "I hereby state that I take the full responsibility for my own safety during the rental period. I am aware that seakayaking has certain risks, and I will consider these risks when I am on the water. I will return the equipment in the same state as when I was given it.”

If the equipment is not returned within the rental period, or damaged in any way, FjordExpedition is entitled to put down extra costs according to the delay or damage. For kayak rentals we will not refund payments or cancel if the weather conditions are unsatisfactory to customers (rain, wind, snow etc). If there is room in our schedule we may be able to rebook the rental. Anyone interested in renting from us or signing up for a tour, should know that we exercise safety precautions in all that we do.

First time renters may be asked to take a safety course in sea kayaking (not diving, swimming, or any other water sport), perform a self-rescue, attend an instructional class on wet exit drills (practice release of spray skirts) and rescues, or -rent and/or wear a wetsuit or other appropriate protective equipment . All renters will be encouraged to exercise sound judgment, seamanship and selfresponsibility. All rented equipment is renters responsebility to bring back to us.

We reserve the right to refuse services or rentals to anyone who is: underage and unaccompanied, intoxicated or otherwise impaired, unruly or overtly irresponsible, show signs of obviously bad judgment. Please be aware that we will not refund pre payments to persons that have been refused rentals on any of the above grounds.

Bookings: Customers are required to pay 100 % in advance. Bookings should be done in our bookingsystem on our website. Only bookings on short note (same day or evening before, can be paid directly to us when we meet). For groups and companies Payment can be done via Pay Pal or bank transfer. Invoice will be issued if requested. For international bank transfers we will cover the cost in Norway. Receipt will be sent to you on e-mail. Booking is only placed in our calendar and set at as -booked- after full payment is received.
