Our Packed Lunches
Although we use various local food suppliers, Ryfylke Bakeri in Jørpeland makes all of our lunch packages. They proudly bake their products by hand, using traditional methods, without additives of any kind.
We have carefully selected drinks from local suppliers that produce top-quality juices:
- Grønvik Gard is an award-winning apple orchard in the village of Fister that produces organic, unfiltered juices
- In pressing its juices, Safteriet in Stavanger exclusively uses organic fruit and berries of the very best quality
- For larger groups, we serve apple juice that’s sourced directly from Astrid and Knut’s farm in Tau
Artisan Food Producers
During the summer, we maintain an inventory of quality food products made by local artisan producers. Guests who rent kayaks can purchase locally pressed apple juice, Preikestolhonning honey, and cured sausage from Suldal.
Foraging and Outdoor Cooking
We spend a lot of time searching for eatable things in nature and cooking with our guests, and have therefore become experts in foraging and outdoor cooking. In Norway, we are one of the few outdoor activity suppliers that focuses on teaching people about foraging for lesser-known food sources in the fjords. We gather foods that cannot readily be bought in stores, including sea urchins, European green crabs, and various types of mollusks.
